This is another website that discusses the ways to end child labor. These solutions are larger in quantity, but have less descriptions attached, so they would require students to do some digging on their own. These solutions also start with individuals and go all the way up to acts the entire world can take.

The article helps to inform the students on different laws about child labor that exists in America. It talks specifically about the tobacco farming in America and how child labor is allowing students as young as 12 to farm the fields. It talks specifically about children in America and what their day and weeks would look like working between 50-60 hours. This creates a good visual representation for the students, that kids their age are working and doing labor every day while they are learning at school. They can process how this is fair and how this can still exist in America.

The Crash Course video gave an accurate overview of the history and the important innovations during the Industrial Revolution. It is difficult to tell the same story from a everyone’s perspective, but it is important to provide a variety of perspectives and understandings of the oppressed in society, and this video did a good job varying the perspectives in which historical events occurred.

He makes a few compelling points and arguments that are still true today. This article shows that not everyone during the time of the Industrial Revolution supported using child labor to advance society, but somehow it still persisted.

This video addresses the reality of child labor in the United States. Today, in America, child labor is present in agricultural settings, where primarily Latino workers populate the workforce. Families are often given no other option but to have young children, some as young as eight, work alongside other family members. Students will watch a short YouTube video about tobacco farming and modern child labor.

The article's focus is to show the world that 1 in 10 Syrian Refugee children are involved in child labor. The prevalence of child labour is likely to be even higher than reported numbers suggest. Many children work intermittently, picking up short-term jobs that may change from day to day. It is difficult to identify working children in both urban and rural contexts because refugee populations are often dispersed.

This video is very powerful and helpful for students because it shows child labor and the issues it has in the world, but also some reasons to the positive side of why it exists. This is an important source because it shows the students both sides of child labor and not that it is only horrible. There has to be a reason it still exists today with different and strict laws, therefore, the video talks about how it helps family that live in poverty to survive. At some points, families must do whatever it takes and if having their children work is the way to survive, then this is important to many families.
